Abstracted Exhibition March 5 – 16, 2019 Featuring 55 Canadian artists, "Abstracted" will exhibit the full range of abstracted works. It includes artwork that takes inspiration from the light abstractions contained in Impressionism all the way to the large-scale abstractions of Expressionists. On December 20, 2018 the Lower Mainland felt the impact of an unforgiving wind storm, White Rock’s historic pier buckled and broke apart that day. Like other locals, the images of the destruction of the pier struck a chord with the White Rock Youth Ambassadors who began a fundraising effort. Eight weeks later, they also have helped create a celebration to recognize this iconic part of White Rock’s identity through art. Zero - 360, Literary Open Mic is a collaboration of emerging and experienced writers who each share up to six minutes of poetry, short stories, chapters of novels in progress, memoirs or song lyrics. Sign up opens at 7:00pm. Readings begin at 7:30pm. Zero to 360, our long-running Open Mic series is back, but this year, with a change of venue.
