In our efforts to bring diverse and exciting new art to the community, we offer a number of art series in collaboration with various partners and organizations. Art Classes with Semiahmoo Arts at South Surrey Rec. Centre.
We offer classes, courses, and workshops for all ages, throughout the year at our South Surrey Recreation & Arts Centre location Register here!
Semiahmoo Arts operates the Turnbull Gallery & Corridor Gallery at South Surrey Recreation Centre. We showcase the artwork of our members as well as non-member artists.
We provide facilities, curatorial services, and exhibition education while giving 80% of sales back to the artists.
Turnbull Gallery is a ‘stepping stone’ gallery space that helps ensure success when the artists are ready to approach commercial galleries.
Semiahmoo Arts operates the Pottery Studio at South Surrey Recreation Centre. The studio is unparalleled on the peninsula and is a source of positive, artistic expression in our community. We offer pottery classes for children, youth, and adults.

Readings by the Salish Sea
Readings by the Salish Sea brings established writers to the Semiahmoo Peninsula on a periodic basis.
We host literary greatness by bringing established writers to the Peninsula. Funds generated from ticket sales goes toward marketing materials and paying the authors sustainable honorariums.
Get Reel Film Series
Semiahmoo Arts in partnership with the City of White Rock present the Get Reel Film Series. The films are curated by the Toronto International Film Festival Circuit and the series strives to bring the best of Canadian and international films to White Rock. Six films are presented yearly at the White Rock Community Centre.
Created in partnership with the City of White Rock and Semiahmoo Arts, the Art on Display program ensures art is visible and accessible to the community. In a series of 5-8 themed juried exhibitions held throughout the year, Art on Display showcases work in a variety of media by local and other artists.
Zero – 360
This casual open mic is a chance for you to meet other local authors and share your work. Come with plans to read, or just to listen. If you are planning to read, please come prepared, readers are limited to 6 minutes. Second Thursday of the month, 7:30pm in the Turnbull Gallery. Reader sign-up begins at 7:00pm.
