Local Abstractions: A Nonrepresentational Community Art Show is an opportunity to explore the ‘materiality’ of the painted surface as well as experience artwork that does not represent things as they are but rather how they feel. This includes artwork of any medium that is non-objective, experimental, or depicts a visual image that does not have an immediate association with the object world. “Writing the Rhythms of Nature” with Heidi Greco Saturday, Mar 2nd, 1:30pm – 3:30pm, South Surrey Rec. & Arts Centre This workshop will complement Barbara Cooper’s photographic exhibit “Four Seasons at the Fen.” We’ll consider elements that characterize the transition of seasons, with a focus on those changes throughout the year which we experience here on the Peninsula.
