Join us for the Opening Reception: June 6, 7pm in the Turnbull Gallery at South Surrey Rec. & Arts Centre.

Local Abstractions: A Nonrepresentational Community Art Show explores the ‘materiality’ of the painted surface and interprets artwork that does not represent things as they are but rather how they feel. This includes artwork of any medium that is non-objective, experimental, or depicts a visual image that does not have an immediate association with the object world.

20 local artists will be featured in the exhibition and many of them will speak about their art practice and their unique approach to abstraction.

The is exhibition will be on display from June 4-July 17 in the Turnbull and Corridor Galleries. For a complete gallery schedule please click here.

Note: Turnbull Gallery is a multi-purpose art space dedicated to delivering art and culture services to South Surrey and White Rock.
Due to the many creative activities in this space the gallery does not have set hours.
We offer scheduled viewings via appointment. Please call 604-583-8333 to book your viewing.
