Semiahmoo Arts Art Rental and Sales Program

The Semiahmoo Arts’ Art Rental Program has a fresh, new look!

Join us for the the next reveal reception for this beloved program and view the new art in the collection.

May 8, 2018 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Turnbull Gallery at South Surrey Rec. & Arts Centre.

All artwork will be available for rent, purchase, or rent-to-own.

You can beautify your home and office surroundings at very affordable rates, and support the area’s vibrant arts community at the same time, by renting works of art by accomplished local artists through the Art Rental and Sales Program offered by Semiahmoo Arts. The new program offers paintings, sculpture and other artwork through monthly rental (with a purchase credit), a rent-to-own plan, or outright purchase. You will get to “test drive” the art that best suits your décor and artistic taste without making the commitment that a purchase entails. Monthly rental rate is only 3% of the value of the artwork, and the first six months’ rent can be applied to the purchase of the work.

How to View Art

Art showings open to the general public take place in the Turnbull Gallery at the South Surrey Recreation & Arts Centre, 14601 20th Avenue, Surrey, BC. Please call 604-536-8333 to inquire about viewing hours. You are also welcome to arrange a personal tour of the collection – bring some friends along! Please contact the Coordinator below to arrange. If you want to host an art show in your home to display our artists’ work, why not consider being part of the program. We will be happy to negotiate rental credits with you in exchange for your support. Much of the artwork currently available can be seen on our “Art Rental and Sales Listing” webpage.

For Artists Interested in Renting Their Art

Semiahmoo Arts has fostered efforts to re-establish an art rental service in South Surrey and White Rock.  To that end consultations with artists and others were held through the summer of 2014 with a view to gathering a consensus on how the service should be operated.  A report was written that brings that consensus forward.
