Our Paint the Town event, part of the Celebration of Canada Culture Day, offers the public a chance to watch artists at work and artists a chance to network and meet. The City of White Rock in partnership with Semiahmoo Arts is currently accepting submissions to our Art Student Exhibition as part of our Art on Display program. All art students (over 18 years of age) are invited to submit a maximum of two works of art. Semiahmoo Arts is really pleased to be working with the White Rock Museum & Archives to present Rock, Paper, Scissors: The Transformative Power of Craft. The exhibit works with the theme of “10,000 Hours Invested: Craft– Past and Present.” Part of the Inaugural Fall Festival of the Arts in White Rock, the display is on for more than a month, giving community members of all ages a chance to see a wide variety of art completed by 15 different artists. Mary Ann has recently stepped down from her position as Executive Director to pursue other opportunities. She is a dedicated and hard working supporter of the arts and the Arts Council.
