Mallory Donen: Glitch Series 01 Opening Reception and Artist Talk, Oct 27, 7pm “Glitch Series 01” is about the communication and collaboration that occurs throughout the creative process between the artist and the tools they use to make art. It is also about translation, from one image form/medium to another. In this instance it is the interpretation of a digital image, that which is far removed from the artist’s hand, into the much more physical medium of cross-stitch, which involves bodily labour and patience. Christine Leviczky-Riek: Greetings from Surrey Opening Reception and Open Mic with featured reader Heidi Greco, Oct 25, 5:30pm Christine Leviczky-Riek is a photographer and poet from Surrey. Her photographs have been shown in the Surrey Art Gallery, Turnbull Gallery, The ACT Gallery, The Fort Gallery, Pendulum Gallery, and the SnackArt Collective. She is a graduate of SFU's Southbank Writer's Program and is currently enrolled in SFU's The Writers' Studio.
