Students are put into groups based on age and level. Pieces are chosen by the students with guidance from 2 NUVO Rock band coaches. Through teamwork and practice students attend 8 rehearsals and learn the skills needed to play and perform in a rock band. A coffee sop gig shows off their new skills! Acclaimed vocalist/composer Karin Plato will be performing an album release concert at Blue Frog Studios in White Rock on Friday, September 14th. The new recording “This Could Be The One” features several of Plato’s original songs and arrangements of jazz and pop standards. Karin and “the most handsome band in the land” will be on stage at The Blue Frog along with guest vocalist Rebecca Shoichet performing jazz, blues, pop and more.
