Outside the Box: Celebration of Fibre and Art

Outside the Box: Celebration of Fibre and Art

September 1 - September 30

Outside the Box is a month-long celebration of art and fibre by local artists. The 2017 featured artist is the extraordinarily talented Elizabeth Carefoot. A long-standing interest in Middle-Eastern culture and dance has strongly influenced her artwork. Carefoot likes to alternate between painting in acrylics, to constructing boxes, stitching, making dolls and papier mache objects, and drawing into altered books. In doing so, each object refers to and draws its inspiration from what came before.
