Semiahmoo Arts operates the arts wing at South Surrey Recreation & Arts Centre. Our facility is suitable for events and activities such as visual art exhibitions, workshops, classes, readings, rehearsals, meetings, receptions and special events.

Set-up and take down needs to be scheduled and included in rental times.

Rules

  • Renters are responsible for set up and take down of tables, chairs, art exhibitions and room clean-up. Janitorial service available for $100. This fee will be implemented whenever the room is not cleaned by the renter. Semiahmoo Arts reserves the rights to determine when additional janitorial services need to be implemented.
  • Renters are to take their own garbage with them when they leave the facility.
  • This is a no smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted on the balcony.
  • Any event serving alcohol must obtain a liquor license, a copy of which must be provided to Semiahmoo Arts. Consumption of alcohol is limited to inside rooms, and must not occur in the corridor or lobby.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations within 30 days or more of rental, the renter retains 75% of fees
  • Cancellations within 15 days of rental, the renter retains 50% of fees
  • Cancellations within 7 days of rental, the renter retains 25% of fees
