WaterBody with artist-facilitator Kat Wahamaa
Tuesday Nov 24/15
6:30 soft start: 7-9 event
Water – it’s in your blood. Water flows through our lives everyday, quietly sustaining all life. WaterBody is a celebratory love song for water – a collective meditation through word, movement and music. Kat has composed a musical piece and choreographic framework where you will explore your relationship with water. Come and sing, move and pour your creativity into the WaterBody Collective.
Kat Wahamaa’s reverence for nature and her hopes, fears, and dreams about water as a fundamental building block of life, are manifested throughout her recent work. She creates artworks in music, photography, fibre arts, theatre and dance. Currently Artist in Residence for the City of Maple Ridge/City of Pitt Meadows, she publicizes and collaborates on arts and community building projects and events. www.shinyb.ca
