Double Exposure creates a platform for dialogue between photography and poetry.
This exhibition/competition showcases the talent of our community in these 2 mediums.
The purpose: To showcase local photography while forging poetry based on or influenced by the exhibited photographs.
There are 2 ways to get involved:
1. PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION / COMPETITION
We are accepting photographic work in the following categories:
The Natural World
Youth Photography (under 19yrs)
Winning photographs in each category will be selected by C.A.P.A trained judges.
Other awards include: The Online Viewer’s Choice Award.
The winning photographers will be invited work in an Encore Exhibition in the Corridor Galleria at South Surrey Rec. & Arts Centre.
Deadline: March 16, 2018 at 5pm.
2. POETRY CHALLENGE
Everyone is welcome to enter our Double Exposure: Poetry Challenge!
Create poetry based on the Double Exposure Photography exhibition in the Turnbull & Corridor Galleries at South Surrey Rec. & Arts Centre.
Drop-in for scheduled poetry sessions on Saturdays from 12pm-2pm
(March 31, April 7, and April 14)
Write your poetry independently. (Be sure to phone us for gallery availability)
Winning poems will be determined by local literary prodigies. Winning poets will be invited to read their work and showered with gifts at the Awards Ceremony on April 26th.
