Artist Call: Photography & Poetry

Double Exposure creates a platform for dialogue between photography and poetry.

This exhibition/competition showcases the talent of our community in these 2 mediums.

The purpose: To showcase local photography and create ekphrastic poetry.

FYI: An ekphrastic poem is a vivid description of a scene or, more commonly, a work of art. Through the imaginative act of narrating and reflecting on the “action” of a painting or sculpture, the poet may amplify and expand its meaning.

There are 2 ways to get involved:

1. PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION / COMPETITION

We are accepting photographic work in the following categories:

The Natural World

Self-Portraiture

Night Photography

Digitally Enhanced

Youth Photography (under 19yrs)

Winning photographs in each category will be selected by C.A.P.A  trained judges.

Other awards include: The Online Viewer’s Choice Award.

The winning photographers will win gift cards from  Beau Photo  and be invited to showcase a larger body of work in an Encore Exhibition in the Corridor Galleria at South Surrey Rec. & Arts Centre.

Deadline Extended: March 21, 2018 at 5pm.
